Spider-Man tops July 4th box office
Spider-Man: Far from Home grossed $25.2 million on Thursday July 4th, dropping 7 percent from Wednesday's take of $27 million. Since it opened on Tuesday, the $160 million Marvel and Sony film has grossed $91.5 million domestically and $218.5 million overseas, for a total of $310 million worldwide in a mere 3 weekdays.
Toy Story 4 came in second place with $7.74 million on Thursday, up slightly from Wednesday's $7.70 million gross. Rest in Peace Stephen Hillenburg
As I'm sure all of you know by now, Stephen Hillenburg, the creator of the long running phenomenon, SpongeBob SquarePants, passed away on Monday November 26th at the age of 57, after battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, more commonly known as ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease, having announced his diagnosis in March of 2017.
